I made this about a week ago actually but it took forever to find that VO so it got delayed. I've been unwell the past week too soooo this vid is pretty, basic, straightforward? LOL! I had a slow start but once the music got more lively I was easily inspired with the joy of flight! I wanted to stick to the classic story that the Trilogy will soon be unfolding....like a certain saga. BTW, if you listen, you can hear the little nature sounds of Star Wars I tried to integrate in with Toothless (;
Footage: How To Train Your Dragon 1, How To Train Your Dragon 2 [Teaser], Gift of the Night Fury
Score: "Ewok Celebration (1986)" and "End Credits" by John Williams
Voice-Overs: How To Train Your Dragon, Star Wars: Episode VI. Return of the Jedi
So, a week ago I posted that for the first time I watched The Star Wars Saga. (Yeah, I'm a little behind the times, lol!) At least the final two (Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi) As you might have guessed, I was spellbound. The story is unlike anything I had ever heard before and the characters extremely convincing! (Especially Luke).
The music at the end of VI caught my ear and I just HAD to find it! The Star Wars music is iconic; it cant be with anything other then Star Wars but this piece is different and one just perfect for, well THIS! (To me sounds like something in Avatar). However I could not resist doing the ending, hehe ;)
Now the VO on the other hand, that's a different story; I went through GREAT lengths to get that line. Makes me wonder if it was all worth it (Cause it never looks or sounds as good in your mind then reality) but after going through all that trouble I was not about to let it go. Darth Sidious' words: "His Compassion for you will be his undoing" sent a cold chill down my spine when I first heard it at 1:00 am. Not only the way he said it, but how close to home that hits....and parallels too. (I tried to even it out with a couple HTTYD VO too.)
Luke's moral character really got to me. How he could be firmly GROUNDED in his beliefs; even at the wrath and temptations of the dark side. Then of course Luke's courage and faith in his friends (which reminds me of another VO that chills me ;) But probably most of all, like the VO states, his compassion and even love for his father....after all he did too. *Such betrayal* By now I've seen all but Ep IV (A New Hope) which I'm aching to get a purchase on soon! So far my favorites are...what the Second Trilogy of Star Wars. (Eps 4, 5, 6). Ep: III Revenge of the Sith was pretty dark; by far the hardest to watch, but I got nearly all my questions answered. Ugh, there was sooo much I wanted to say when the feelings were fresh and bursting with life last week....but now. (Ooo, mild Ruffnut pun there ;)
I was however very familiar with the whole Star Wars world, the characters, the maps, warfare tactics/weapons, battles...you name it from the game: Star Wars Battlefront 2. (An old favorite game of mine that I played to death back in 2004 I think) So it was a LOT of fun just reliving those times and being able to even predict what happens just from the game, lol! First time I ever played a game before the movie, and man that game is truly PLAYING the movie! Now I can appreciate it more (=
Sweet, "Three" nice thumbnails, hehe! It's a jinx right? Which shall I choose? (=

To YOU BettyYoutubbers: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVoyaBby2wKQvkjbAkF_ZvQ
How can I begin to describe such a creative young friend? Ever since I discovered your vids back in July of 2013, I knew there was something that set you and your wonderful works of art apart. I remember ONE of the first things that caught my eyes were your custom thumbnails. Remember? You were the first one, that I know of, in the HTTYD fandom that started those....and so generously shared with me/us. In time we got to grow and share together through our work to become such good friends. And Im ever so grateful we have ;) Ive learned so much from you and admire them greatly! Spending time creatively arranging things and taking pride in every last detail, and believe me it shines....showing far more than any minor flaws YOU can only see in your vids. (Mark of every great artist: never satisfied with their work ;) You also have such a wonderful, fun-loving personality on here too while interacting with friends/fans; one of the few around here that genuinely cares about your YT family here. Thank you for being who you are my friend and I hope you had a fine birthday! Heres one of my favs by you that illustrates your illustrious creativity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQvIjPgr5tM&list=UUVoyaBby2wKQvkjbAkF_ZvQ
To YOU Aversi teespabilas: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ9xHvGL4S9ufx026jdBfeQ
Ill be honest, I had no idea it was your birthday till it was actually, your birthday on the 28th, ahe! But I wanted to do something for you, and I really didnt think you and Betty would mind sharing a gift since your both such good friends. *winks* Well, what can I say for you friend? YOUR AND ARTIST!! I admire artist, and I know I havent come right out and said it in comments personally, but I think your draw beautifully and I really do enjoy your work. Your vids are so amazing too! I REALLY admire, practically drool, over how you do your text especially with the different fonts in them. So creative with all those details! I love it! You know if you ever did a tutorial on that Id probably study it, lol! It really shows in this honorable mention here of yours too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imBhPg-XWOI&list=UUZ9xHvGL4S9ufx026jdBfeQ&index=28
One of my favorites by ya btw too....till I saw your latest Halloween vid. My gosh...kill me. o_O
......................
About this vid:
Ive clearly spent waaay too much time on this gift. This vid is primarily focused on Hiccup and Toothless but I couldnt resist including some Stalka and then Hiccstrid for the final verse. Believe it or not, I was actually through editing this the day BEFORE your B-day Betty, but its taken me 3 of these past 4 days to add the final touches....special for you two because you and Aversi are so detailed. *winks* Including, the coloring(s), overlays/textures, intro/ending, and then text/fonts. (The later I have zero patience in doing). I practically have my own post-production process for my own vids, lol!
Oh and speaking of effects, notice something Betty? *nudges* I finally got em! Yep, you got it, - its those super cool transitions I rave over in yours and other peoples vids. xD YES YES, look at the smooth blur on the clips/text!! They were easy to get too, only took me one night and they work beautifully. Its like a plethora of various additive dissolves, zooms, and colorings; I ♥ it, so I put a heavy dose of all those in here for ya, ahehe. YT makes it look rather dark though, on my PC the quality and colors are much more crisp. *shrugs*
Oh, and I have no idea where that smudge in the intro on, Give ME Your Hand came from; it was FINE in the editor! Whatever Vegas...you just have to make your mark. (Hiccup pun alert!)
Now about the song: Recognize it anyone? i ̶d̶o̶u̶b̶t ̶i̶t ̶s̶i̶n̶c̶e ̶i̶t̶s ̶n̶o̶t ̶w̶e̶l̶l ̶k̶n̶o̶w̶n. Another piece from the Lift album I fell in love with listening to when I made this 1st vid from it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4F6qF6humw
Planning on doing at least two more from it; one Im currently working on still. *whispers* (The Alpha Tribute).
Well thats all from me for now! Better go work on some posters for my media class. Hopefully Ill have the rest of the belated B-day gifts done soon, along with the You Pick, I Vid project wrapping up as well. Not to mention the Christmas season right around the corner....

![HTTYD~Battlefield 4 [60 sec TV Spot] Mock Trailer
Well, we do just about everything else....why not use games for mock trailers? I uploaded this in honor of my Fathers Birthday today, *Happy Birthday!!* I actually finished this several days before my own b-day; I just havent uploaded it since it seemed kinda dark for that time.
I thought I would be the first to come up with this idea but I got surprised when my friend xFineNotes created his own unique, hardcore version of this trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZN8nUKFsjY
He gave me his blessing to finish mine so here it is! Since it is more Trailer like I felt it was okay too. Went a little overboard on the layers again I guess, but I finally got to use that color effect; thought it fit the Battlefield-ish mood (=
Footage: How To Train Your Dragon, Gift of the Night Fury, Riders of Berk (1, 6, 12, 13, 14, 17, 20)
Audio from Battlefield 4 TV Spot Mock Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZD9fWUUeL00
Song in Trailer: Run this Town by Jay Z (feat. Rihanna & Kanye West) *Note* Rihanna is in this cut of the trailer*
Color Effect: Infusion Subtle
Editor: Sony Vegas: Movie Studio 12
Hm, thats a pretty dark and convicting look of Hiccup for this trailer (; HTTYD~Battlefield 4 [60 sec TV Spot] Mock Trailer](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/FpugIlpN8Rs/mqdefault.jpg)
