How to update firmware of RC8P?
Step 1. Download the latest firmware package from RadioLink official website. (https://www.radiolink.com.cn)
Step 2. Copy the firmware into the transmitter.
Step 3. Update the firmware on the transmitter.
Step 4. Check the firmware version.
Step 1. Download the latest firmware package from RadioLink official website.
Radio--RC8P--Firmware. Here is the latest firmware package. Click and download it.

The firmware package of RC8P is a zip file. After you download it, you need to unzip the file. I have already downloaded and unzip it on the desktop. Here it is. The unzipped files contains a "Firmware" folder with the latest firmware inside it. The firmware is in Mac format.
Please not, some upgrade packages may also contain a "sounds" folder, which is used for storing audio files.
Step 2. Copy the firmware into the transmitter.
Connect RC8P to the computer using the Type-C cable that comes with it;
Press and hold the Return button and Power button at the same time to turn on RC8P.
BOOT MODE will appear on the screen. Select "USB" and press the scroll key to confirm. USB mode appears. USB connected.
The computer will display the removable disk of RC8P. Open this disk, and we can see four folders--Firmware, model, sounds and sys model.
Open Firmware folder, delete the old firmware here. Copy the new firmware of Mac format into this folder. The copy of the firmware is done.
Please note: If the firmware package you have downloaded contains a "sounds" folder, you also need to copy and paste the sounds folder into RC8P to replace the old sounds folder. If there is any customized audio files in your old sounds folder, you need to back up these customized audio files to your computer first, then delete the old sounds folder, copy the new sounds folder, and also your customized audio files into RC8P.
Step 3. Update the firmware on the transmitter.
After the firmware copy is complete, short press the Return button to exit USB mode;
BOOT MODE appears on the screen. Scroll the key to select "UPG" and press the scroll key to confirm;
The latest firmware is detected. Select "YES" and press the scroll key to confirm;
The transmitter starts upgrading. The percentage indicates the progress;
Please do not disconnect the USB connection or turn off the transmitter during the process.
“Firmware upgrade successful!”indicates the upgrade is successful;
Press the Return button. RC8P is powered off.
Step 4. Check firmware version in the transmitter.
Long-press the Power button to power on RC8P. Short press scroll key to enter the menu. Select SYSTEM SETTING. confirm. Scroll the key down to the bottom. The software version is the firmware version. We can see the current firmware version is ~, which is the latest one. So the firmware update is complete.
