How to Make Customized Switch Voice on RC8P?
It is useful for users who want make their own voice for switches. Besides, multi-lingual users can also make voice in different languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and so on. Today I’m going to introduce how to make customized switch voice on RC8P.
There are 3 steps in total.

1.Make customized voice.
2.Copy the voice files into RC8P.
3.Set Switch Audio function on RC8P.
1.Make customized voice.
You have two methods to make the voice. The first one is to use a text-to-speech software to create voice files. You can search free text-to-speech software online to make the voice file. The second one is to record your own voice by using mobile phones or computers. It is recommended to record your own voice since it is simple and free.
I have already used a text-to-speech software to create two voice files and copied the files on the computer. One voice file is light ON, and the other one is light OFF. files are in MP3 format. We take these two voice files as examples to show how to set switch voice on RC8P.
What I need to do next is to modify the format of the voice file to ensure the format of the voice file meets the following four conditions:
a.WAV format
b.Sampling rate 16,000HZ or 32,000HZ
c.Mono
d.Bit depth 16 bits
You can use voice software to modify the format of he file. I take WAV Converter, an online website to modify the format of the voice file. Here is the website.

Click Select File-- select the voice file you need to modify -- Open it.--Convert to WAV format. And click this option to set more. Set Channels to mono. Set Sample Rate to 16,000 Hz. Click Okay. And Convert. The converting is finished. Click Download to download the modified voice file on the computer.
I use the same method to modify the format of another voice file: light OFF.
Here are the two voice files that has been modified. Light ON and light OFF. They are on the desktop.
2.Copy the voice files into RC8P.
Connect RC8P to the computer with a Type-C cable;
Press and hold the Return button and Power button at the same time to turn on RC8P.
BOOT MODE appears on the screen. Select "USB" and press the scroll key to confirm. USB mode appears. USB connected.
The computer will display the removable disk of RC8P. Open this disk, and we can see four folders--Firmware, model, sounds and sys model.
Open sounds folder---USER folder. We need to copy and paste the customized audios into the USER folder.
Copy the two audios. And paste. The paste is done.
After copying the voice files, short press the Return button to exit USB mode.
Long press the power button to power off RC8P
3.Set Switch Audio function on RC8P.
Power on RC8P. Short press scroll key to enter the menu. Select SYSTEM SETTING. The volume is 100%. So the voice can be heard.
Scroll the key down to the SW AUDIO.
We can set the voice broadcast for switches, like SWA, SWB, PS1, PS2, PS3 and TH (throttle trigger).Take SWA as an example.
When I use SWA to control a light. I can select the voice file I made. I set light ON for SWA_UP, and light OFF for SWA_DOWN. NULL for SWA-MID meas there is no voice when SWA is in the middle.
Now push SWA up ,light ON
Push SWA down, light OFF.
No voice when SWA in the middle.
The customized audio will be convenient for users to know the position and the function of the switches.
