Throttle curve Function of RC8X
Enter main menu--Racing menu--Throttle curve.
Throttle curve is used to make the throttle response smoother and more linear. It can optimize the control and enhance the control precision.
Type: There are three types of throttle curve, including EXP, VTR, Multiple point.
Select the first one. EXP.
EXP rate defaults to 0, which means no curve.
It can be set from -100% to 100% I set it to 100%, we can see the straight line changes to a curve line.
The curve line here means the throttle is more sensitive at lowest throttle and less sensitive at highest throttle.
Change the Quick to Slow. The rate changes from 100% to -100%, which means the throttle is less sensitive at lowest throttle, but more sensitive at highest throttle.
If you want the throttle to be less sensitive when starting, you can set the rate to -100%.
The second type is VTR.
The point is to divide the throttle travel into two parts. 1-100 can be set. To better show the function, I keep the the point to 50, which means the throttle is divided into two equal parts.
VTR Rate is to adjust the sensitivity on both sides of the "point. It can be set from -100% to 100%.
When the VTR rate is set to 0, there is no sensitivity setting for throttle.
If I set the rate to 60%, we can see the sensitivity is different for the first half and the second half. The first half is more sensitive, while the second half is less sensitive.
Change the Quick to Slow. The rate changes from 60% to -60%. We can see the first half is less sensitive, while the second half is more sensitive. And VTR is not to set the curve lines, but the linear lines.
The third type is multiple point, which allows for the independent throttle output setting for each point.
9 points can be set to adjust the throttle sensitivity.
For example, I set the first point and the second point to 0, which means there is no throttle output at the first 20% travel.
I set the fifth point to 100, which means it outputs full throttle at the half travel.
I set the eighth point to 20, which means it outputs 20% throttle value at the 80% travel.
Multiple point is very flexible.
Users can set the throttle curve based on their model types, track conditions and their preferences.
