Programmable Mixing Function of RC8X
Enter main menu--Mixing setting--Programmable Mixing.
Programmable mixing is often used to control the two channels at the same time. RC8X provides up to 8 groups of mixing. Take MIXING 1 as an example.
There are 2 setting pages. Enter the second page. Master is the master channel. Slave is the slave channel. I’ll take the mix of channel 2 and channel 1 as an example. Set the master channel to channel 2, and the slave channel to channel 1.
Switch select: You can assign a switch to control the PROG.MIX. Null means no switch assigned. I assign PS1 to control the mix. Here is PS1.
Press it once, PROG.MIX 1 is turned on. Press it once again, the mix is turned off. You can see the ON/OFF here.
Mix mode: When mix mode is turned on, the additional functions applied to the Master Channel—such as channel delay, ratio, and others—will also apply to the Slave Channel.
Trim mode: When trim mode is turned on, the trim settings of the master channel will also apply to the slave channel.
Enter the first page.
Left is to adjust the end point ratio on the left side of the slave channel.
Right is to adjust the end point ratio on the right side of the slave channel.
Both of them default to 50. Return to servo display.
Press PS1 to turn on the mixing.The master channel is channel 2, throttle channel. Push it.
We can see the maximum travel amount of the throttle channel is 100%, while the maximum travel amount of the slave channel, channel 1 is 50.
If I want the slave channel works the same with the master channel, I can set the left to 100%, and also the right to 100%
Return to servo display.
We can see the slave channel , channel 1 works the same with the master channel, channel 2. The travel amount of the both channels are 100%.
If you want the slave channel works in the opposite direction with the master channel, you can set the mixing rate to -100, which means the direction of the slave channel is opposite to the direction of the master channel.
I set Left and Right to -100%.
Return to servo display.
We can see the slave channel , channel 1 works in the opposite direction with the master channel, channel 2.
By the way, you can also set the curve of the slave channel by the curve type, including EXP, VTR,and multiple point. Take EXP as an example. I set the EXP rate to 100%, which means the movement of the slave channel is more sensitive in the neutral position, but less sensitive at the ends.
Change the Quick here to slow. The expo change from 100% to -100%, which means the movement of the slave channel is more sensitive at the ends, but less sensitive in the neutral position.
Fine tune left is to fine tune the left curve.we can see the left curve line is modifying.
Fine tune right is to fine tune the right curve. we can see the right curve line is modifying.
OFFSET is to set the central point of the slave channel. We can see it is changing here.
You can set all these parameters according to your needs.
