Hey everyone! This video will be showing how to do a provisional cast on. It's kind of cool how you can then work your project in the other direction. I hope this was helpful.

Items Mentioned:
Clover Bamboo straight needles size 11 (8mm)
Crochet Hook size K/10 1/2
Caron Simply Soft yarn in Rubine Red (contrasting yarn)
Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Aran Flack


Instructions:
Chain one or two more stitches then ending amount.
Make sure chain is made in a contrasting color, since it will be removed later, this is will make easier to find.
Once chain is complete, with a knitting needle, pick up your amount of stitches from the top chain. Insert through chain and wrap as if you were knitting, pulling a loop through and onto your needle.
Continue till all stitches are picked up and work your project like normal.

Removing your provisional cast on.
Hold your cast on side up and undo one loop of your crochet chain, inserting your knitting needle into the stitch below the chain. Continue to undo your chain and pick up your knit stitches. Now your stitches are ready to be worked in the other direction.
