Happy Halloween! This is my first Halloween project for my channel. I hope you guys like it. I personally love it. It turned out how I was picturing it. What's more Halloween then a witches hat? You can have any color belt on your hat or none at all. You can also use this pattern for Christmas hats as well. Info on that listed below. Items Used:
Clover Bamboo 16" circular and double pointed needles, size 8 (5mm)
Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Black
Red Heart Sport yarn in Green and Purple
Stitch Marker

Gauge:
18 sts = 4"; 24 rounds = 4" stockinette stitch

Instructions:
NOTE: This hat is worked from the top down.

Witch & Wizard Hat Body Rows:
*increasing 6 sts every 5 rows.
Cast on 6 sts

Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: *K1, M1; rep from * around. - 12 sts
Row 3-5: Knit
Row 6: *K2, M1; rep from * around. - 18 sts
Row 7-11: Knit
Row 12: *K3, M1; rep from * around. - 24 sts
Row 13-17: Knit
Row 18: *K4, M1; rep from * around. - 30 sts
Row 19-23: Knit
Row 24: *K5, M1; rep from * around. - 36 sts
Row 25-20: Knit
Row 26: *K6, M1; rep from * around. - 42 sts
Row 27-31: Knit.
Row 32: *K7, M1; rep from * around. - 48 sts
Row 33-37: Knit.
Row 38: *K8, M1; rep from * around. - 54 sts
Row 39-43: Knit.
Row 44: *K9, M1; rep from * around. - 60 sts
Row 45-50: Knit.
Row 51: *K10, M1; rep from * around. - 66 sts
Row 52-56: Knit.
Row 57: *K11, M1; rep from * around. - 72sts
Row 58-62: Knit
NOTE: For a child hat size, stop increase row here and continue at Row 64.

Row 63: *K12, M1; rep from * around. - 78 sts
Row 64-74: Knit.

Wizard Hat:
Finish off with 5 rows of a 1x1 rib, (K1, P1).

Witches Hat Brim:
This is written for adult size, for children size it will need adjusting.

Row 1: *K3, M1; rep from * around, K1. - 104 sts
Row 2-4: Knit.
Row 5: *K4, M1; rep from * around. - 130 sts
Row 6-8: Knit.
Row 9: *K5, M1; rep from * around. - 156 sts
Row 10-12: Knit.
Row 13: *K1, P1; rep from * around.
Row 14: *P1, K1; rep from * around.
Row 15 & 16: Repeat Rows 13 & 14.
Bind off.

Witches Belt: (optional)
With Green Yarn
Cast on 8 sts
Work seed stitch for 23 inches.
This measurement will very depending on size of hat and how you want it wrapped on your hat.

NOTE: This hat can also work for a Santa or Elf hat for Christmas. Turn the body of the hat red or green. Skip the brim and add a 12 row 1x1 rib in white yarn and a white pom pom to the top.
