Hey everyone! I hope you guys enjoy this hat. My heart wasn't fully into this project, it just wasn't working how I wanted it to. The idea for the flower, or star, crown I saw in a stitch book, so it's not mine. But I didn't work that pattern into my hat pattern I thought of. If it resembles someone else it is purely by accident.

Caron Simply Soft Yarn in Bone and Lt. Country Peach
16" circular needle and DPN in size 8(5mm)

Size:
20 - 22" Adult

Gauge:
16 sts and 24 rows = 4"


Instructions:
Cast on 9 sts
Row 1, 3 & 4: Knit
Row 2: Increase 1 sts between each st. with a M1 - 18 sts
Row 5: *K1, M3 (k1, p1, k1) in next st, K1; rep from * - 30 sts
Row 6: *K2, P1, K2; rep from *
Row 7: *K2, M1 purl, P1, M1 purl, K2; rep from * - 42 sts
Row 8: *K2, P3, K2; rep from *
Row 9: *k2, M1 purl, P3, M1 purl,K2; rep from * - 52 sts
Row 10: *K2, P5, K2, YO; rep from *
Row 11: *K2, P5, K2, P1; rep from *

NOTE: When working from a yarn over to a purl stitch, make sure to double yarn over to lock your stitch on your needle. Moving from a yarn over to a purl stitch you can lose your yarn over if not careful.

Work 2" of reverse stockinette stitch, till hat measures 7" from point to end.

Decreases:
Row 1: Every 3 st, P2tog
Row 2: Every 12 st, P2tog - 89 sts

Work 2" of a 2x2 (k2, p2) rib. Bind off and enjoy.
