Hey everyone! Check out this festive flower, the Poinsettia. I am so happy with how this turned out. I really hope you guys try this out too and send me photos. I did traditional red, but you can make this whatever color you want. I hope you enjoyed!!

FUN FACT:
Poinsettia colors can range from creamy white to shades of pink and orange to the traditional red. Also there are marbled bracts of pink and white as well as pink flecks on red.

Clover Bamboo double pointed Needles size 8 (5mm)
Caron Simply Soft yarn in Sunshine
Red Heart Super Saver yarn in Medium Green
Craft Smart yarn in Bright Red
Instructions:
Petal A - red - make 6
Cast on 4 sts
Row 1(rightside): K1, Kfb, Kfb, K1 - 6sts
Row 2 and all wrong side rows: Purl
Row 3: K1, Kfb, knit to last 2 sts, Kfb, K1
Repeat Rows 2 & 3 until you reach 14 sts
Petal Decrease:
Row 1: K1, K2tog, knit to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1
Row 2: Purl
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until you have 8 sts
Bind off your 8 sts on your last purl row.
Petal B - red - make 6
Repeat same for Petal A but increase to 16 sts
Decrease the same.
Petal C - green - make 6
Repeat same for Petal A but increase to 18 sts
Decrease the same.
Middle - yellow/off white
Cast on 20 sts
Knit bind off your 20 sts
Cut leaving tail. Use tail yarn to weave in through your stitches to bunch them up.
Attach the middle to Section A. Attach Section A to Section B and same for B to C.
Fluff to your liking and enjoy.
Now you can attach to a hat, sweater, headband and more.
For smaller poinsettia
Make 6 of Petal A in red
Make 6 of Petal B in green
Make middle too.
