Hey everyone! This video will show you how to do a single crochet. A basic stitch in the world of crocheting and pretty easy too. I hope this video is easy to follow and you learn how to single crochet. Tweet me a photo of your practice swatch of this stitch and I'll see you in my next crochet tutorial.

Items:
Bernat Softee Chunky yarn in Pale Antique Rose
Boye Crochet Hook size J/10 (6mm)

Single Crochet Instructions:
(single crochet abbreviated sc)

Row 1: Insert hook in st and pull up a loop, YO and draw through both loops on hook. Sc made. Repeat across the row.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn work and Repeat Row 1.

Repeat both rows until reached desired length.

Crochet Challenge:
Sq1. Single Crochet
With green yarn ch 26 loosely.
Row 1 (right side): Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across: 25 sc.
Note: Loop a short piece of yarn or use a removable stitch marker to mark this row as right side.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.
Repeat Row 2 until piece measures approx. 7"; do not finish off. Work edging.

Crochet Abbreviations:
Ch = chain
Sc = single crochet
YO = yarn over hook
Turn = once row is done chain the right amount of stitches and turn your project so you can continue in the opposite direction.
