About this video: CurseForge has made Minecraft mods easy. It allows you to download, install, and manage mods for any mod loader. So Forge, Fabric, and NeoForge mods can all be installed and used with it. You can also add custom mods that aren’t on CurseForge easily and even updating your mods becomes easier.
To get started, we will want to get the CurseForge app. There is a link in the description above to our text guide where you can click “Download” to go to the official download page. On that page, click the “Download Standalone” button, and CurseForge will start downloading.
From there, it installs just like any other app. Open the installer, click Next and agree a few times, and eventually, you will be prompted to Finish the install and open the app.
When you first open CurseForge, click on “Minecraft”. Then, click Standard, Continue, and Minecraft Launcher. Now, to install your mods, click the “+” button and select the mod loader you want to use. This will work with any mod loader, but you can use the mods that mod loader supports. Sadly, this is a limitation of Minecraft.
After your installation is setup, you’ll land on the page where you can click “Add Content” to see mods and “Install” to add them to your profile. It’s that easy.
Then, go back to the Minecraft tab in the sidebar and play using the profile you created. From there, you will login, Play in the Minecraft Launcher, and your mods are installed. It’s that easy.
