In this video, I turn a beautiful lidded box using Sapele wood for the base and spalted beech for the lid. The entire piece is created on my Harvey T60S wood lathe using carbide woodturning tools from Easy Wood Tools, ensuring smooth and precise cuts throughout the process.
For the finishing steps:
Sanded to 240 grit with Klingspor abrasives
Applied Yorkshire Grit abrasive paste for an ultra-smooth surface
Finished with Hampshire Sheen High Gloss Finishing Wax for a deep, glossy shine
