In this woodturning music video, I craft a custom bottle opener for my best friend — turning shimmering resin and metal into something truly unique.
The blank is cast with Alumilite Clear Slow resin and two chameleon mica powders, creating a swirling, color-shifting effect that looks incredible under the light.
All turning was done on my Harvey T60S wood lathe using Easy Wood Tools negative rake carbide cutters for smooth, controlled cuts.
For the finish, I used Yorkshire Grit Original and Microfine abrasive pastes, followed by Hampshire Sheen Burnishing Oil to bring out a deep, glassy shine.
