In this video our host Albert Howell learns how to make a Princess Cake with our expert Andrea Buckett.
INGREDIENTS:
2 boxed cake mixes (one to make 2, 8” rounds; one makes a 8” round bowl cake)
8-9 cups frosting/buttercream
1 Barbie
Tin foil
Disposable icing bags, icing tips
Various embellishments, sprinkles, colored sanding sugar, etc…
Tips
Always do a crumb coat to ensure full coverage of your cake and easy decorating.
Cakes should come up to the dolls waist, once inserted. If it doesn’t simply use icing to fill in the space.
Place parchment paper down on your platter before placing cakes down to ice. Simply pull them out quickly when your decorating is done. This helps to keep your serving platter clean.
