In this video, I walk you through the perfect beginner woodturning project—making an Ash wood bowl with added texture and colour! This is a great way to build your skills while experimenting with new techniques.
I turned this bowl on my Harvey T60S wood lathe using carbide woodturning tools from Easy Wood Tools, making shaping smooth and beginner-friendly. To add a unique touch, I used a Dremel to create texture, then highlighted it using Chameleon Powders for an eye-catching, colour-shifting effect.
For the finish, I applied Yorkshire Grit Abrasive Paste to refine the surface, followed by Hampshire Sheen Finishing Wax to enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
