This knitting tutorial will show you 3 methods for reducing your stitch number by more than the usual 1 or 2 stitches e.g. decreasing by 4 stitches in one go.
These all use either pso ('pass stitch over') techniques, or more common decrease techniques like k2tog and k3tog. My favourite method is the first one I demonstrate.

They're simple to do when you know how, and they give you options for more dramatic shaping of your knitting.
