If diffusing feels like it takes forever, here's what's actually slowing you down — and how to fix it fast.
Start with a microplop. Before anything else, press out excess water with a microfiber towel after your gel. If you see frizz, add a light coat of gel on top to lock in hold. Then get straight to diffusing — don't let your hair sit. Every minute it sits wet, you're adding frizz and adding time.
You also don't have to go all the way. Even five minutes of diffusing sets the curl shape with heat. That's why diffused results last longer. Diffuse to about 80 percent and let it finish on its own.
