Some food chains say they are using tallow but they’re still cutting corners and/or fooling customers w/ seed oils still in the mix and/or unfortunate additives. 😝
The best french fries are the ones you make at home 🥔👍 I know mine looked a little burnt at the end, haha, but the fries turned out great! 😋
Plus I make sure to use fat that is
✔️ naturally nourishing
✔️ seed oil free
✔️ delicious
Here’s my recipe for fat-friendly fries 👇🏽
Ingredients (to serve four):
3-4 organic potatoes
tallow, bacon fat, lard or duck fat
paprika, salt & pepper
1️⃣ Cut potatoes in fry shape or dice into cubes (cubes cook faster)
2️⃣ Pour fat into frying pan, deep enough to cover fries over medium heat
3️⃣ Season potatoes with spices of choice
4️⃣ Add a batch of uncooked fries into hot fat, & turn regularly until cooked through
5️⃣ Add more spices to taste (or apple cider vinegar for the boardwalk fry taste)
Yummy 😃 Your family will be like “Steak ‘n Shake whooooo?” 😂
PS I used Epic duck fat for this batch of fries and Redmond salt, my hands down fave salt! 🧂😘
Share if you believe home cooked fries (or just about any meal) is best 🙌🏼😍
And tell me in the poll below: Are you more likely to eat fries from a restaurant or home-cooked? 🤔
