Goodbye Chinese restaurants!
Hello homemade egg drop soup!😃🥣💛

Why oh why was I today years old when I figured out I could make my own at home?? 😂😂

It’s
🤤 delish
😍 budget-friendly
😇 easy peasy to make

Recipe 👇🏽
4 c homemade chicken stock
1/2 tsp sesame oil
1/8 tsp sugar (I used coconut)
1/8 tsp pepper, 3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric
3 eggs
3 T cornstarch in 1/3 c water
1 chopped scallion

1️⃣ bring stock to a simmer
2️⃣ add spices and sesame oil
3️⃣ mix cornstarch in water quickly to avoid lumps and pour it into soup as you stir continuously
4️⃣ beat eggs lightly (so yolk & white don’t mix all the way)
5️⃣ pour eggs slowly into soup while stirring

Serve with scallions 🥣🫶

It’s so rich and satisfying!
