Matthias Schlueter calls those strikes half cuts (Halbe Hiebe). They use a center grip and could be blown really fast. Those cuts are also used to parry by "beat". Polearms were much more important in the middle ages and Renaissance so we have lots of input from old books and manuscripts from hundreds of years ago.
