This commercial for go.com shows a gerbil in a wheel running very fast, so fast he escapes his cage and through the wall of the building into the wide world... um...
What am I doing? This commercial doesn't make any sense at all. And why should I be surprised? It's a commercial for Disney's go.com, a .com company with no real reason to be, no product to sell and no reason to want to use them. This kind of nonsense was de rigeur in 1999 and is a big reason why the .com boom collapsed.
Want to see how silly go.com is? Just go to the site right now. See that page? I've seen better domain parking pages. Just stick a picture of iJustine in the upper right and you'd have a classic typosquatting page.
The only time you ever really see go.com is when you go to espn.com and it redirects you to espn.go.com.
I know go.com was lamer than most, but looking at this junk, it's hard to believe anyone was surprised by the .com collapse.
