I recently bought a medium format film camera - it's either called a Nixon Nixette, or a Gerlach Nixette. And I was pretty happy with the results!
This one cost me £12 on eBay (about $15), and for the money it is just amazing.
I think this is a really interesting camera for anyone to try out, but especially for people new to medium format film photography. MF folding cameras are usually pretty cheap to buy, if not always easy to use! But they come with huge risks, because there are a few weak points, not least the bellows. But because the Nixette has a unique folding system, the bellows on fold once, instead of the usual concertina of 4-5 folds. This means far less chance of those bellows going wrong!
This camera is likely to be a pretty early example of a Nixette, which places its year of manufacture somewhere around 1953-1954. I didn't need to do any fixes on it at all! I just gave it a clean and it worked perfectly.
