I'm still learning in the darkroom, there's a lot I don't know, so the amazing Tim from Negative Thinking has agreed to give me a bit of a refresher!

Ok, in this vid Tim Pearse from Negative Thinking gives me a bit of a reminder course on the bits and bobs that I have forgotten, or never knew, about printing black and white in the darkroom.
Are you printing your images? Do you have access to a darkroom?
I genuinely didn't think I needed this stage of the process. I've been pretty focused on scanning my images, and sharing digitally. But I am slowly realising that by ignoring the darkroom I'm missing out a really important step in the analogue photography process. It's a huge opportunity for not only image control, but also creativity.
Negative Thinking is an amazing place. I really wish they were closer to where I live. I could get there, but it's a good 45 mins drive away from me. And there is literally nothing closer.
If they were around the corner, I would be in that darkroom every day!
The ethos and values of Negative Thinking, run by Tim and Emily, and Talbot the skeleton, are amazing. They want to share knowledge, they want to give as many people as possible the chance to access the darkroom, and to experience the alternative processes that seem so out of reach to all of us.
Their prices are INSANE. £5 per hour to use the darkroom... including all the chemicals for ANY process, even wet plate collodion! And their workshops are £50. Crazy.
Their landlord has suddenly hiked the rent on them, and they've been forced to move premises. But because of these low prices, they're struggling to find the money to move, and rebuild their darkroom at their new place.
These guys are providing an incredible service, so please, let's get behind them and help them out. I have only recently discovered them, and I really want them to be around so I can make use of the workshops!
