- me trying again to play along with both Phil Collins and Chester Thompson, this time on a fantastic track of two opposing moods. Fast, furious, hectic and of course technical to start, then slow, gentle, awkward and funnily enough technical to finish. Not spot on I know, but it's great fun trying to get this one down! Yes, I know about the (subtle?) mistake at 3'15.
I had difficulty getting the sound mix right on this -- I wanted to make sure you could hear the 16th note ride bell pattern AND left handed tom fills in the fast bit, but the song is so hectic I had trouble keeping myself quiet enough so the music could be heard - apologies. It's a shame - you cannot quite hear what I am doing on the bell whilst the tom fill is happening. Oh well. I think it is what Phil did, but I guess someone will soon tell me if it is not right!
