Here's a track I thought you might enjoy - with a busy shuffle groove and some fun fills in the second half.
In this video, and to satisfy at least one Russian Mimic developer I know, and another regular and hard to please viewer (that's you, Chris!!!), I have turned the room mics up high. This is (purposely) less so on the snare, but should be readily apparent on the toms :) Please use good headphones or speakers to get the full power of the Mimic sounds on this.......
I have used XTrax software to strip out the drums on the original recording of this track. So the drums you hear are all me and the Mimic, as I play along to a drumless track.
Guano is one of the bands I play for, and this track, 'This World Is Not My Home' is taken from their 2010 album 'Bat Out Of Smell' - which is well before I joined the band. The original drummer was Sly Dennis.
The blue drumsticks are custom made for me by The London Drumstick Company - I am proud to say that I am an official LDC Artist. I use 7As.
