RobReports | Gear Sport vs Galaxy Watch 3. Side by side and on the wrist @Robrob007 | Uploaded 3 years ago | Updated May 04 2024
Both have great looks, but the sport one is (was) way cheaper.
Hi Guys,
Just want to make a quick video to compare two samsung watches.
one is the gear sport and the other is the brand new galaxy watch 3 .
the main differences are
the galaxy watch case is much bigger.
the gear sport used 20 millimeter bands and the galaxy uses 22. the original band on the sport is rubber and the galaxy watch has a leather band. i wouldn't use the leather band to work out or get it wet.
the gear sport doesn't have a speaker, but it does have vibration. you can't make or receive calls in the gear sport and to be honest, the only time i did a call in my watch, it was by mistake. even if i'm working out, i prefer to take the calls in my cellphone, many times i'm using a headset or just use the phone to talk. no problem. talking on a smartwatch was a solution to a problem that almost no one had.
the galaxy watch has much better battery life, but both last longer than 2 days with my usage.
both have wireless chargers and they are very slow.
the galaxy watch 3 has advance health features like blood oxygen, e c g and other stuff
the gear sport has a heart rate monitor.
on the looks, i like the looks of both. both are black but the gear sport shines more. i have received more compliments on the gear sport than the galaxy watch. maybe because it shines more.
both have a premium feeling even though i believe the gear sport was much cheaper.
You know at the end. for me it doesn't matter, after wearing the galaxy watch for more than a month, i got tired of the constant charging of the watch. also i notice that i pretty much do the same steps everyday, so i kind of don't need the watch that much. i have been wearing a g shock for a few weeks now. for me always on time and not having to charge a watch is more important. i'm sure at some point i will get bored and want to struggle again and wear my smartwatches again.
Sometimes for jogging, i just use my cellphone to track time and distance, it is faster and more intuitive, for some reason while using the running feature on the Samsung, i end up pausing the workout by mistake and loosing a bunch of distance, it is the worst. sometimes it doesn't turn on when raising the hand and you have to press a button, but that button sometimes pauses the workout..
enjoy the video.
