RobReports | BLACK Galaxy Watch 3 45mm vs Galaxy Watch 46mm. On the wrist, side by side etc. @Robrob007 | Uploaded 3 years ago | Updated May 04 2024
in this video I'll compare the old first generation galaxy watch vs the latest newest and greatest galaxy watch 3.
The galaxy watch is one of my favorite smartwatches, it is huge, it has an unique shape, it has almost a quickly design. very unique looking watch. it has a great battery life and honestly I haven't had any issue in more than 2 years with the watch. my only complain about these galaxy watches is the time it take to charge them, it takes hours to charge both the old watch and the new watch, sometimes i stop wearing them because I need to leave the house and the watch still charging. in that case I just take a g shock watch and forget about smartwatches for a while. even if you use your watch like me. always in airplane mode and screen off you will still need to charge it a couple times per week. all smartwatches have that issue as far as I know. except of course the Huawei watch gt. that one i was able to use for a month without charging it.
After a few days of wearing the watch 3, I came to the realization that it is practically the same experience as my old galaxy watch, software is pretty much identical the only difference is that the new galaxy watch 3 has some new watch faces that probably Samsung will never give to the old watches. pretty much the whole new experience in this watch is the new watch faces. the advanced health features still turned off in mid October. and honestly i expect them to be very inaccurate. or would you trust a few blinking lights on the back to measure your blood pressure? of course not.
also for 20 bucks you can get one of the best oxygen monitors and for about 45 you can get one of the best and most accurate blood pressure monitors from Omron. so what I'm saying is not to buy this watch because it measures oxygen or blood pressure. in my opinion it is just a gimmick or a party trick.
The new watch also has fall detection. which is nice, because it will call me if it falls from its charger because it spends a lot of time there. great, that way i don't run the risk of stepping over it by accident. thank you samsung.
honestly the only things that you need in a smartwatch is, great battery, step counter and to have nice materials and design. if that is the case I don't see why someone will upgrade from the previous galaxy watch.
Also I hate the leather band, it gets wet and in a few weeks i bet it will be nasty if i am not careful with sweat and water or working out with my watch on. however that is an easy problem to solve by using a rubber strap like I'm using.
by the way, the old charger is not compatible with the new galaxy watch 3 and the new charger is not compatible with the old watch. come on!
and samsung decided that you don't need another wall adaptor and just includes the cable.
on the positive side I can say that the new watch 3 is pretty good looking, but the old one was too. I just wouldn't pay the rattail price for the new watch. because samsung has a history of discounting watches. I paid 350 for the galaxy watch 1, and a few weeks ago in prime day, the watch was 189 in Amazon. so my recommendation is to wait if possible.
thank you for watching
