On August 19, 2025, police in Palm Coast, Florida received a call from employees at a Target store reporting that a 40-year-old woman, Jennifer Meri Pearce, was suspected of shoplifting inside the store. Officers quickly responded to the scene and made contact with the suspect to begin their investigation. The situation grew tense as officers searched her pockets. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
