On February 17, 2024 in Punta Gorda, Florida, deputies responded to a reported vehicle burglary at a convenience store on Airport Road. The caller told dispatch she had gone inside to deliver pizza and, while checking the store’s security monitor, claimed she saw another woman enter her vehicle and take her wallet. What began as a theft report quickly escalated as deputies made contact with the suspect on scene. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
