Fresh Peach Cobbler
(For an 8” Camp Oven)
Ingredients:
2 large peaches, peeled & sliced
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
Dash of nutmeg
¾ cup milk
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, combine peaches & ½ cup of sugar and set aside.
2. Melt the butter in the bottom of the camp oven.
3. In a large bowl, combine the flower, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and remaining sugar.
4. Stir in the milk just until combined with dry ingredients.
5. Pour the batter over the melted butter, top with the peach mixture.
6. Place lid on oven and bake at 375° F for 45-50 minutes until golden brown, using 11 briquettes on the lid and 6 briquettes under the oven, both arranged in rings near the oven wall.
7. Enjoy!!! (Serves 6 people)
