Our multi-day severe weather sequence continues today with an Enhanced Risk (level 3/5) across parts of Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. Semi-discrete supercells should evolve into a robust QLCS this afternoon/evening, posing a risk for all hazards initially before the damaging wind and tornado threat ramps up with the increasing low-level jet after dark.
Tomorrow, supercells with all hazards are possible across the Midwest, where a Slight Risk (level 2/5) has been outlined. Questions remain regarding the evolution of morning convection, but should storms form, all hazards would be possible.
On Friday, widespread severe weather is expected from the Midwest to the Southern Plains, with the most robust convection expected ahead of a surface low in the Iowa/Missouri vicinity. All hazards are possible.
