What's up Geekly Goods fam! 👀 Check out this first look at a mysterious new character from VisionQuest, spotted at the show's display floor here at D23. The concept art shows a fiery figure completely engulfed in flames, standing in what looks like a burning room or town, alongside a fresh look at White Vision's upgraded suit.
Most fans are pointing to this being Jim Hammond, Marvel's original Human Torch, an android created decades before Johnny Storm, who first debuted all the way back in Marvel Comics #1 in 1939. In the comics, Vision's synthetic body was actually built using Hammond's discarded remains, which would make this connection genuinely fascinating for a show centered entirely on Vision exploring his own identity and origins. Hammond has technically already appeared as an Easter egg once before, tucked into Captain America: The First Avenger inside Howard Stark's World Exposition display.
VisionQuest premieres on Disney+ October 14th, and given the show's heavy focus on AI, memory, and synthetic identity, bringing in a character with such deep ties to Vision's own creation feels like a perfect thematic fit.
