I decided I needed to learn how to make cordage. For my first ever attempt I chose Fireweed to use for the fiber source, as I found plenty in the city near my house. I also thought I would post this as a response video to Phreshayr's excellent instructional video on using fireweed to make cordage. Check his video out for how to really do it (mine is just a hack beginner attempt and I have a lot to learn!). youtube.com/watch?v=5tgUX1cTNBg
I also chose fireweed because it is available in winter where I travel, and Phreshayr shows how to use the plant in winter. He gave me the idea.
