Game: Final Fantasy II
Port: GBA
Emulator: VBA 1.8

When you reach the top of Arubboth, you will find the Emperor, but it is his Light half. You find out here that you are in the Palace of Heaven and you ended up Raqai at the start of the quest. He brought the 4 of you back to life in order to seek forgiveness for his transgressions and the actions he has done to them. However, after witnessing from their loved ones that Firion and his friends are battling the Dark Emperor, the 4 turn down the Emperor's request and basically tell him he is full of shit and they don't trust him. The Emperor decides to offer eternal suffering instead.

PLAN
=====
The Light Emperor fights the same way as the Dark Emperor, except his Starfall spell is upgraded to 16, he scraps all but 2 status spells (Slow and Dispel) and can now use Holy 16. His physical attacks still have the Drain effect and he absorbs all elements.

With the aid of the Ultimate weapons and some equipment from the locals, this boss will fall fast once you augment your defenses (Blink and Protect) and your physical attacks (Berserk 16 from Wild Rose helps and Haste). He will fall just as fast as the Dark Emperor.

I recommend having 2000 or more HP on all hands before attempting this fight. If you have the Ancient Sword, it will help to Curse him with it so you don't get HP too quickly drained.

FINAL THOUGHTS
===============
It is nice they added a mode where you can use Minwu, Josef and Ricard one last time against an Emperor like boss. As for the general combat, the monsters are a little harder and it has a rough start if you haven't done much with Minwu or Josef.

However, the addition of the ultimate weapons, especially Wild Rose makes this too easy as well. Not only that, the buff spells being able to be stacked makes this game way too easy as it is. As I said in the Emperor final boss video from the main game: Like the story, hate the system.

Once again, I apologize for putting this game on the back burner. But at least I managed to finish it. Next game!
