Fights are looking a tad more threatening now at the close of Disc 1, but we're still on top of things. The Iguions have Reflect until you Draw Carbuncle from them so that's the first thing to get done. Shell takes the fangs out of their more dangerous attacks but we have to keep an eye out for gradual petrify; thankfully they have Esuna we can draw-cast for that. I wasn't expecting the Brothers to wipe them out in one but there ya go.
Next, we have Seifer. He's very simple, with relatively low HP compared to other bosses. His Fira is a little dangerous but not with Reflect bouncing it back in his face. Erich be praised.
Finally, we get to the final boss of Disc 1. Edea has a lot more HP than bosses before her, and she's chucking out Lv3 spells that hit for 3-400 damage. She'll also use Dispel if you throw up Reflect so instead we go with Shell which makes the damage more manageable. A slight complication to this fight is that Rinoa is too risky to use in this challenge, as she has a chance of triggering her Angelo Rush counter whenever she gets hit. As that falls under limit breaks, and this fight is quite long, we had to KO her before continuing.
After that, the fight is quite simple. Keep HP high while throwing out spells and maintaining Shell. But we need to be quick as the fight ends automatically after enough time has passed and you have to win the fight to get that 20AP. And seeing how fights will probably just keep getting tougher, we'll need all the AP we can muster.
