Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, and this video covers a full playthrough of Chapter 3, Deeper Into Darkness.
Pure gameplay, no commentary, captured on Nintendo Switch 2.
Chapter 3 takes Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, Barret and Red XIII into the Mythril Mines in pursuit of the mysterious black robed figures who hold the only lead on Sephiroth's whereabouts. The party is split early in the chapter, leaving Cloud, Aerith and Tifa to press deeper into the mines while Barret and Red XIII follow the robed figures into the chasm below. The chapter brings a more linear, atmospheric experience compared to the open world of Chapter 2, with the Mythril Mines delivering tense enemy encounters against Crawlers, Ogres and Archdragons alongside a memorable confrontation with Elena and Rude of the Turks.
Chapter 3 is one of the tightest and most story driven chapters in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, drawing directly from the Going After Sephiroth section of the original Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation. Seeing these iconic moments reimagined on Nintendo Switch 2 is a genuine treat for longtime fans of the series.
