Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren Rear-Wheel BES Brake Upgrade Kit. Now, this kit has been designed to fit your 2021 to current Ford F-150 with the 350-millimeter rotors. And on custom-fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend going through our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our fit guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, upgrading the suspension on your truck obviously improves the ride quality, helps reduce sagging when you're towing or hauling heavy loads, and it's going to make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling.
But unfortunately, it does not reduce the extra workload placed on your factory brakes. So, if you've ever felt like that your truck takes longer to brake while you're towing a trailer or your brakes are wearing out faster than you expect, or the added weight is making your braking feel less confident, that's where this BES brake upgrade kit is going to come into play. This kit is designed to give your truck stronger, more consistent braking when it's carrying those heavy loads. Now, these low-metallic Onyx bike brake pads are going to give you a strong initial bite and eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing. So you're going to notice more confident, consistent braking during braking performance, rather, on every road trip.
And these multi-layered rubber shims here on the back, they're going to help stabilize your brake pads during braking, ultimately reducing vibration, keeping the braking noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. On your screen, I have a few pictures there. The first one shows the construction detail of one of Timbren's shims there, the multi-layered rubber construction of it. The second photo shows what a brake pad looks like with that shim removed, just to give you a better look at the brake pad and the construction of it. So these positive molded pads paired with these precision balance rotors are going to promote smooth, even braking, and more consistent pedal feel.
Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM-style vented rotors. They're going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops. That's going to help reduce brake fade when towing. And these are premium G-3000 raw iron rotors. And they feature Timbren's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and outer edges.
So as you probably know, heat is the enemy of brakes. So, this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of up to 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 67% better than the standard GEOMET coating that's found on most OEM parts. This coating also helps protect them from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving, keeping your brakes looking cleaner between services without affecting braking performance. By the way, these pads also feature a bed-in coating indicated by the blue stripes that you see here on the pads. That's going to transfer to the rotor to protect it during first stop. So you're going to be able to enjoy consistent braking performance sooner after installation. Insulation is going to be relatively straightforward. It includes everything that you see here on my table.
