Hello, neighbor, this is Curt with etrailer. And today, we're going to take a look at the etrailer RV sofa with the seven-inch center console. So if your current RV sofa has seen better days, little worse for wear maybe, and it's time for a replacement or just time to upgrade, this could be an excellent choice for you. Mostly because it's intended to fit in small spaces like a camper or RV. It's also modular, which makes assembly and disassembly easy and that makes it easy to get in and out of those narrow passages that you find in an RV or camper. So this sofa really is intended for your RV.
It's intended to fit into a tighter, smaller space like this. As a matter of fact, you only need a little more than four inches of wall clearance behind you in order to recline out all the way. And that can be huge because what that's going to allow is for you to get the sofa closer to the wall. It's just going to give you more open space in front of the sofa and frankly, more space to recline. And when it's time to unrecline, it actually kicks down really, really easily.
So the action of the recline and getting back up from the recline is very smooth and very simple. A lot of recliners like this, I find you have to kind of give it a good kick to get it back in. Not this, it's smooth sailing. The upholstery material is leather, which is very similar to synthetic leather. It's got a pebbled look to it, which reminds me kind of of sheepskin.
It's very soft, very supple, and it's very easy to clean. I mean, most cleaning instances with this, just a wet rag, wipes right off. But if you do get a stain that's a little tougher, you can use a mild detergent with it and get it off and it generally cleans off really, really easily. Now, under the upholstery, we've got some hard memory foam and it just makes for a really good cushion, keeps its shape really, really well, and it's going to have some hard springs underneath that for support. They're pretty silent.
There's no squeaking or anything if you bounce on these a little bit. All in all, very, very comfortable. And from a design standpoint, I like the fact that they made the seats almost more like a bucket seat than just a straight bench. As you're sitting in it, it just feels like you stay centered in the chair and it's just, it almost feels like it's hugging you like it's made for you. And to add to the ease of the cleaning and that maintenance, your cup holder is removable so you can really make sure you get all those, like tough to reach areas clean. And our seven-inch center console here makes for a great armrest. It's going to fit, you know, both people's arms if you need to just relax. It's also got this center compartment here. The latches on this, I really like. A lot of these compartments, they'll pop-up, but there's nothing really keeping it up and out of the way. It's really easy to knock it back down and latch it close. This actually stays up really well. Takes a little bit of a push to get it back down and it springs right back down into place without doing any kind of slamming. So all in all, this sofa is great because it's made for your RV. It's going to be easy to get in and out of here, which I'll show you in just a moment. It's going to be easy to maintain, it's comfortable, and it looks fantastic. Now, I talked a little bit about how modular this is. This comes apart and goes together really, really easy. So let's take a look at how simple it is to get these in and out of the RV. Now, one of the biggest concerns that people have with RV furniture is how are they going to get it in and out of their camper For one thing, camper doors tend to be a lot smaller than the doors you have at home. The door we're working with today is just a little over 26 inches wide. It's pretty typical for a lot of campers out there. Doesn't leave a lot of space to work with. Then, when you
