Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Timbren Front-Wheel BES Disc Brake Kit. Now, this kit has been designed to fit your 2019 to 2020 Ram 1500, then your 2021 to 2024 Ram 1500 with or without the 6.2-liter engine. So, on custom-fit parts such as these pads, I do recommend going through our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle, answer any other questions that it might have for you, and our Fit Guide will confirm if these pads will work for you or something else, if we have something else that's comparable that will work for you. Now, if you do a lot of towing, your factory brake pads can start to feel overwhelmed by the extra weight.
These severe-duty brake pads are designed specifically for trucks that tow, giving you that stronger initial bite, and a more responsive pedal, so you're gonna feel more confident when you need to slow down. Whether traffic suddenly comes to a stop or someone pulls out in front of you, these are gonna give you better control during those hard braking situations. These are also built to handle the heat that comes with towing. The fade-resistant friction material is gonna maintain consistent braking performance through repeated stops so your brakes stay predictable, even on those long grades or in stop-and-go traffic. And because these are low-metallic pads, they naturally provide more stopping power, but they can also create more noise.
So, to help with that, these feature premium multi-layered vulcanized rubber shims that help reduce the squeal without sacrificing brake performance. As you can see there, I have a photo there on the left-hand side showing you the detail of one of the shims from Timbren. And so, the shims are gonna help stabilize the brake pads during that braking process to reduce vibration. Then I also have another photo there on the right-hand side showing you a little bit more about the overview of the construction of the brake pad. Each pad is positive-molded, which is going to ensure consistent density and precise dimensions for even wear and reliable braking performance throughout the life of the pads.
Installation's gonna be straightforward. It does feature this included bed-in coating, indicated by the blue stripes there that's gonna help the pads deliver solid pedal feel right away while shortening the break-in period. It includes everything that you see here. Now, we do carry kits that come with these pads and the rotors that you need as well if you're looking for rotors.
