Errigal, the highest mountain in Donegal stands at 751m/2464ft. Myth, legend, murder, and revenge the county of Donegal has it all woven into the fabric of its mythology. On this hike up Errigal, I'll be talking about the Fomorian king Balor who is said to have lived in nearby Tory Island and his battles with the Tuatha de Danann. This cycle of Irish history is fascinating and I'll hopefully give you a taster so you'll want more.

I've included the route we took as part of the hiking guide and some recommendations along the way.

We climbed and this was the 4th mountain of the 8 peak mountain challenge where we are trying to tackle mental health issues and smash the stigma attached.
