Issued on the flexible Filmophone label, this is pretty hot both in terms of the music and the lyrics! The best known version of the song, which was written by Andy Razaf, is by Ethel Waters, recorded in New York for Columbia in 1928, with a piano backing by James P Johnson. This is the only British recording of the song.
