How I fixed my electric sunroof (moonroof in usa?) on a Freelander 1. Made the sound of gears slipping. It got stiff and rusty and one bit of plastic broke meaning it wouldn’t open or close properly. Also a quick mention of taking off the sunroof seal from the glass to fix water leak.
So here are most of the parts I used, from Amazon or eBay at the best prices and availability as I write this. Using these links will not cost you any more than going there without using these, but it does earn me some few coins and saves you a bit of time.
