How to install a pair of gas struts for lifting and holding the hood / bonnet on a Fisker Ocean. Much better than that catch just on one side that has the danger of twisting the hood when someone tries to close it. By using commonly found parts the cost was round £20 or $27. A pair of gas struts was £10 and a set of 4 end ball joint brackets also £10. Apart from some tools like a drill and spanners, a scrap bit of metal and a few nuts and bolts. that is just about all you need.
So here are most of the parts I used, from Amazon or eBay at the best prices and availability as I write this. Using these links will not cost you any more than going there without using these, but it does earn me some few coins and saves you a bit of time. A pair of Land Rover LR2 Gas struts:

A set of 4 10mm ball joint end with right angle brackets:

Annoyingly those are out of stock as I write but there are many others that
do the same job, just look for 10mm and right angle brackets and they
should be fine, e.g. Amazon here: amzn.to/3YGCaxn
