Located in Eastern Washington, Spokane is known as a major interchange point on the BNSF Northern Transcon. Freight trains from both Seattle, via the Columbia River Subdivision, and Portland, from the Spokane/Lakeside Subdivision, meet in Spokane. This provides ample train watching opportunities, with many scenic points along the way. In addition to the BNSF, Union Pacific trains traverse through Spokane, some of which are thru interchange trains with the Canadian Pacific Railway in British Columbia.

In this video, you'll see a taste of various BNSF freight train action in the Spokane Valley region, as well as another look at the BNSF Chewelah local with an impressive consist! In addition, Canadian Pacific run through power in seen, running as Union Pacific trains. Awesome area to film in, more to come!
