Part 42 - Cave of the Past
Ness is a little under-leveled in this video. He should be at least level 70 and know Lifeup Ω.
If you're low on PP recovery items, a good way to maintain Paula and Poo's PP is to repeatedly use PSI Magnet against Ghosts of Starman after protecting everyone with PSI Shield Σ. Have Ness and Jeff "defend" until you've recovered enough PP.
The Bionic Kraken has a 1/128 chance of dropping the Gutsy Bat (Offense +100, Guts +127). The Bionic Kraken is a pretty rare enemy that seems to appear only on the island after the first teleporting sphere and just before the cave leading to Giygas.
Notes:
0:24 - Nuclear Reactor Robot: use Poo's "mirror" to recover your HP without using PP. Always attack it last because it explodes upon defeat.
2:35 - Wild 'n Wooly Shambler: somewhat vulnerable to Freeze.
7:08 - Final Starman: can use Starstorm α and Ω. Protected by a reflecting PSI shield at the start of a fight. Use Paula's PSI Shield Σ in the first round. Another option is to use PSI Shield Ω and then just use PSI Magnet while the Final Starman and Ghost of Starman destroy themselves with Starstorm.
8:42 - Bionic Kraken: Defeat it with Freeze ß from both Paula and Poo.
My rules for this walkthrough:
1. I don't use Big/Multi Bottle Rockets because I think they make the game too easy. My hope is that not using Bottle Rockets will give you a better sense of what each boss is like and make these videos more interesting.
2. I avoid level grinding as much as possible. I point out when I think I'm under-leveled.
