There are still two large cutouts missing from our central body …

In the previous video we’ve milled, drilled and cut most features into our central body (link below). We did not make the two big cutouts for the side parts, because they would have complicated the marking and machining of the other features.
But now it’s time to tackle them. We first mark the cutouts, then we saw them out (table saw and manually) to reduce the milling required, and finally we mill them to dimensions. We also cut threads into them and rework holes in the side pieces.

But now it’s time to tackle them. We first mark the cutouts, then we saw them out (table saw and manually) to reduce the milling required, and finally we mill them to dimensions. We also cut threads into them and rework holes in the side pieces.
