In the last video (link below) we calculated the radial forces acting on shaft and bearing. We also determined how much the shaft would bend. Finally we tackled the problem of edge loading our bearing. Now it’s time to move on.

We start out with the axial forces and what it takes to keep the shaft inside the bearing. Then we do some bending calculations for the bearing itself, taking that edge load into consideration. But at the end there’s still a lot to do.
