Let’s open a dead ultrasonic cleaner and see what’s wrong with it …

A friend asked me to have a go at his dead ultrasonic cleaner. I never got my hands on high power ultrasound transducers before, so I was curious and accepted. We’ll have a look at the innards of that thing and identify the faulty components.
After a look at the outside and a test we open that thing up. We replace a blown fuse just to blow the new one too. Then we’re down to trace and measure the circuit from AC mains to a fried MOSFET half-bridge. The MOSFET driver is also shot.
