Today we take a look at a very special game. At first glance Dragonsword Awakening might look like another gacha game and though it has the blueprints, gameplay and look of a gacha game, the entire gacha system has been left out.
Dragonsword Awakening is a similar RPG like other gacha games, but you actually buy it at a set price and don't have to spend any more on gacha mechanics. You can also play it offline and so it can be considered as a offline singleplayer RPG with satisfying hero collecting, upgrade systems and exploration.
The story is simple, but effective and the locations (especially the city) are beautiful. The character design is yet again stellar as we expect from these games and overal its a solid entry.
You can still play certain bosses in multiplayer coop. The game is a little rough around the edges with things as I got enemies stuck in the terrain multiple times and I had some glitches here and there. But hopefully they will be patched out soon and I hope to see more gacha-esque games take on this formula of simply offering an offline experience at a price and leave out all the gacha stuff.
