Great day for railroading! Today is a tremendous occasion for the DRR: the return of No.2 E.P. Ripley. Walt's engine has finally returned to passenger services hauling the Disneyland Limited around Disneyland. As such, the roster today is as follows:
Fred Gurley - Holiday 5 Blue & Lilly Belle
E.P. Ripley - Holiday 2 Red
(C.K. Holliday, Ernest S. Marsh, Ward Kimball, Holiday 4 Green and Excursion 3).
We start this compilation with Ripley pulling into Main Street Station after completing her first official run with passengers. Then we take a front-seat view for a Grand Circle Tour. Then is a shot from the Hungry Bear Restaurant as she crosses the Critter Country trestle bridge, pulling into New Orleans Square, distance shots as seen from the caboose and then pulling into and leaving Main Street in the lovely, but chilly, afternoon. The bark, whistle, paint and just about everything is so pristine on Ripley. Now we only need to get back her original bell...
